The AIMSR conducted Convocation for the batches of 2014 and 2015, in the presence of our beloved Chairman, Dr. Pratap C. Reddy, Dr. B. Karunakar Reddy, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana as Chief Guest Dr. Vijay Dixit, Chief Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon, Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, and Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Secretary, AHERF, Apollo Hospital Hyderabad as Guests of Honour on 27th November 2021, at the Apollo Hospital Lawns, Hyderabad.
Overall, 39 Gold Medals and 10 Silver Medals were awarded to the students of both batches, demonstrating consistent academic excellence, in 14 subjects, both in the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences and the Internal Assessment examinations conducted by the College, for both batches.
From the Batch of 2014, Ms. Keerthana Ravikanti was awarded 5 medals (4, Gold and 1, Silver ), Mr. Gottam Arvind Reddy 6 3 Gold and 3 Silver, Ms. Devika Adusumilli 3 Gold medals, Ms. Annam Bhavana Jyoti 3, 2 Gold and 1 Silver and Ms. Swasti Jain 3 Gold medals, Ms. T. Naveena, Ms. Karanam Amritha, and Ms. K T Keerthi Chandrika were awarded 1 Gold medal each.
From the Batch 2015 Mr. B. R. Sai Ganesh Reddy was awarded 6 (4 Gold and 2 Silver medals), Mr. Arjumand Banu 8 Gold medals, Ms. Kavya Sudhireddy was awarded 2, (1 Gold and 1 Silver ), Ms, Sreya Yarlagadda received 3, 2 Gold and 1 Silver, Ms. Jakula Sowmya Reddy 2 (one each of Gold and Silver ), Ms. Naidu Priyanka, Ms. Eda Ishani Reddy, Ms. Kavuri Charma Chowdary, and Ms. Bonthagorla Harita Krishna Yadav were awarded 1 Gold medal each.
The Chairman, Dr. Prathap C Reddy Gold Medal for the Best outgoing Students of the Apollo Medical College, Hyderabad were presented to Ms. Keerthana Ravikanti (2014) and Mr. B. R. Performance – Pass% Distinction and Underperforming students
The University Examination, was conducted during March-April 2021 with the following results.
The 2016 batch of the III professional year Final MBBS part-II secured, pass percentage of 99%, with 3 distinctions, 50 First classes, and remainder second class result.
The 2019 batch of the Ist Professional year, secured a pass percentage was 80 %, with 44 first class, and 36 second classes.
Of the 400, we have 5 students – (3and 2 students ) 2017 and 2019 batches appearing for exam under the Supplementary schedule.
The 2020 Batch commenced their course in 15.02.2021, after completing their Foundation course and training and completed the same on 31.12.2021 and await their first year final examinations, scheduled in March 2022.

PG students The 1st Post graduate batch of 31 students joined the course in July 2020 They were introduction to the Faculty who provided them the curriculum, course schedules, and objectives of the respective broad specialty disciplines.
UG Seats enhancement: During the 2021 year The KNR University approved the increase in UG seats from 100 to 150 per annum, with the course commencing in March 2022. We also received permission to start MD Psychiatry-2 seats. Civil Works to accommodate and provide the learning environment for an annual intake of 150 MBBS students were completed on time by Mr. APV Reddy and project staff.
The induction of the 2021 batch of 150 UG and the 2nd PG batch of 34, was delayed due to the Covid pandemic and postponement of NEET examination. The admission for the same was deferred to March 2022.
Medical Education Unit – conducted 2 meetings with 9 Curriculum Committee Meetings-for the First MBBS 2 for the Second MBBS: and, 6 for the Third MBBS.
The annual AMC Sports League was held during 1st – 12th November 2021, with the students participating in the following games; Boys- Indoor games: 260, Outdoor sports games: 140, and Girls-Indoor games:135, Outdoor sports:140.
The Annual Sports fest with 6 outdoor sports and 3 indoor was conducted between September-December 2021, with 1281 students participated from the various batches of 2016,2017,2018,2019, and 2020.
On the Occasion of Children’s Day Sports events for staff member was scheduled with the theme “Awaken the Child within you”. All the employees actively participated in the games; (outdoor: 74, Indoor games: 136), and made it a grand success.
Rotaract Club activities of students: The Rotaract Club of Apollo Medical College, was established by President Rtr. Neeti Ravindra and team, with Dr. L. Sridhar as the Club Advisor in September 2020, amidst the pandemic, to combat challenges that were felt during this period. The club is led by a creative and skilled Executive Committee, and has over 130 members, who are passionately driven to lend a helping hand to society. The club had organized projects in the community, on a local and global level which included. Building shelters for people who lost their homes due to the recent floods, conducted multiple funding drives to orphanages and old age homes, blood donation campus, menstrual hygiene drives, sex education programmes, mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ & gender workshops, and many more. The club also ensures the fellowship and unity among its members, through various cultural and extracurricular events. Within a short span of time, the club was awarded the Best Newly Chartered Club in 2020-21, for the district (Dist. 3150), as well as the International Rotary Citation 2020-21, for its outstanding performance.
We have an Alumni of 400, strong graduates from batches of 2012-2015, who graduated in the year 2018 -2021 respectively. Number of Alumni with PG seats-108 and this doesn’t include PG seats allotted to Alumni in the academic year 2021-2022. The AIMSR Alumni was formed in 2018, and 152 Alumni have enrolled for it. The Alumni registration process happens at the Union Bank of India, Apollo Branch, and can be done online. The Alumni Day will be celebrated during the Decennial year celebrations.

Training Revised Basic Course Workshop 2nd course was conducted for the faculty in on 19th – 21st August 2021.
A work shop on Hands On training for suturing skills staples and energy devices, was conducted on 14th November 2021, in the Skill Lab, with 60 PGs and practicing surgeons, from various medical colleges, participating.
A vertical Simulation Workshop with GSL Medical College was conducted faculty participated on 3rd to 5th December 2021, Dr. Neetha Kundoor on Teaching and Assessment of Skill session, Dr. Fozia Jeelani Wani on Simulated Patient, and Dr. Mohammad Rafi on Critical Care Training using Tele-simulation.
