General Hospital
Located at the campus of the teaching institute, the General Hospital is a 470 bed, fully equipped hospital. At an easy-access location point, this hospital is well crafted and conveniently positioned for ailing persons from all nearby areas to visit.
The hospital is spread over two blocks and has a lift facility for easy transportation of patients. Emergency rooms and ICUs are strategically placed on the ground floor for the benefit of patients and are fully equipped with the latest medical procedure equipment. Critical Care Specialists manage these facilities under the supervision of respective HODs.

Outpatient Department, Operation Theatre, and Other Facilities
The Outpatient department is designed in a way to provide for spacious and fully equipped consultation rooms for all departments with accompanying rooms that are used for dressing of wounds & injuries and case demonstrations to students. The daily average patient turnover in OPD is about 1000, while the average daily admissions are around 60.
All wards are well equipped and maintained. A doctor is present in each ward, round the clock enabling for dealing with any emergency incidents at any time.
The Operation Theatre complex is well planned and hosts the most modern, latest technology, quality equipment. Each Department has its own OT in the complex.
Radiology Department that is located on the ground floor has 4 X-Ray units and Ultrasound. CT Scan facility is also available on the same premises. Additionally, four mobile X-Ray units are used for the benefit of the patient.
The Central Laboratory is entirely a self-sufficient one, providing accurate, reliable, and verifiable results. This lab is staffed with qualified technicians and has the latest instruments in use, which makes it more reliable.
Additionally, the premises provide 24*7 security and house-keeping services, utilized optimally to keep the hospital environment hygienic and secure.

Uhtc
Run by the Department of Community Medicine, the URBAN HEALTH TRAINING CENTRE or UHTC is located roughly about 3 km from Apollo Medical College premises at Shaikpet. This center is specifically designed to provide quality healthcare to the urban poor, who lose out on essential and life-sustaining medical care as they cannot afford it.
The UHTC has a fully functioning OPD that is open every day, specifically for the nearby populations which are easily accessible due to its central location. This facility is designed to provide a quality patient examination, diagnosis, treatment as well as perform minor surgical procedures. The diagnosis and treatment of patients are 100% free, including the free distribution of drugs.
The UHTC is under the direct purview and administrative control of the Principal of the college. The Professor of Community Medicine supervises the functioning of UHTC through the Associate and Assistant Professors on a rotation basis.
UHTC DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE
Catering to a population of roughly 50000, mainly involving urban slums, the UHTC has adopted 18 slums in the Shaikpet and nearby areas.
The main aim of this slum adoption program is to make sure that necessary medical care and treatment is not denied to anyone for a reason not being able to afford it.

CAMPS CONDUCTED
The UHTC conducts annual camps. These camps are held outside the campus area and give excellent exposure to the students to move out of their comfortable work area of the campus and work at the ground level. A fully equipped team is set up for such camps, and primary treatment is provided at the location. In case of any additional treatment that is to be given, they are referred to the hospital for continued and specialized care.
